Could only find Charles and Lucy with son William in 1870 Clarion County when William was about 2_ no listing for Neal and Elizabeth anywhere in PA, no matter how the name is configured.
Finished the every page/every line search for GGG grandfather John McElravy b. 1800 with every imaginable configuration for the McE name in PA and OH.Can now confirm John and Catharine McElravy in Clarion County with family.
Prior to Clarion settlement, John and Catharine lived in Centre County and am reasoably sure the very large 1810household of William McElravy (18 people) that I mentioned to Lloyd a few years ago, did not included them.
The family of 1810 William McE is listed in Barre Twp of Huntingdon County_ this allows that they were located near today's Wilkes-Barre, PA area_ about 100 miles East of Centre County. Most likely they are related to the Centre County grouping and may be the root of your Washington branch as well.
The William McE 1810 household consisted of 10 males_ 2) under 10, 3) 10-15, 2) 16-25, 2) 26-44 and 1) 45 and over__ the females were_ 2) under 10, 1) 10-15, 2) 16-25, 1) 26-44 and 2) 45 and over.Somewhat confusing as this household may have 2 or 3 generations living together.
The reason I mention this family is possibly it is your William's branch, as they do not show again in this area in 1830.By 1840 there is another William McE with wife Margaret and children documented in Washington County but the record states he was born in Ireland.Possibly a link to Hugh McElravy.
Also found my John and Catharine in 1840 Centre County with 7 of their 9 children prior to their move to Clarion County.Had no idea the 7 children were born in Centre County_ all these years everyone thought they were from Armstrong County. Not sure about the last 2 children_ Mary b. January 15, 1843 and the youngest, William Henry b. February 8, 1847_ this child died 3 days before his 2nd birthday.Unknown if the youngest were born in Centre before the move to Clarion_ or after.
