Re: Thomas McGrew Ireland>SC>KY
I came across a deed record dated April 10, 1827 Calloway County Circuit Court for land situated on Township 3 Range 4 east, NW 1/4 of section 23 in Book 1 page 846.It is for a deceased John McGrew. It names Sarah Goheen (widow of John McGrew), James Goheen (new husband?), William McGrew, and John McGrew. Also it names children of the deceased as John H. McGrew, Bluford McGrew, Betsey McGrew, Sally McGrew, Thomas McGrew, Peggy Ann McGrew, and William McGrew. Their guardian was given as Stephen Jones (I'm guessing he is a brother of Sarah).
In the 1860 Marshall Co., Kentucky census...Bluford McGrew and Thomas McGrew (my husbands ggg grandfather) were living with or next to each other and their ages are close enough to make them brothers. Therefore both being the sons of John, since Bluford was a pretty rare McGrew name back then.
I don't have anything to connect John to his supposed father, Thomas other than other family trees I have seen online. That's why I'm hoping someone else does.
Yes, you can send anything you have to my email. That would be great!
