Hello Linda,
I would be delighted to be able to share your elation, and I think I am on the verge of doing so. My objective is to test the hypothesis that Kee and Keys in Northern Ireland originated from McKee/McKey settlers in County Tyrone during the Plantation period. These settlers may have originated in the same vicinity of Scotland as the McKee who settled in Down and Antrim.
I would like to have a look at your McKee Y-DNA to compare it with Kee-Keys DNA. Can you give me the marker values, or perhaps a Ysearch.org link? Better yet, if you have tested with Familytreedna.com, you can join my British Isles DNA project directly, or simply tell me where to find your profile with the kit number.
Let's break down some brick walls!
