Re: McKellar, Baker Cemetery, Robeson Co NC/Marion Co SC
I have been working on the McKellars of Robeson-Marion County for quite a while. It might help to answer your questions on the Baker Cemetery if I give you a little background on the McKellar family.
The first McKellar I have found is Peter McKellar. He seems to have been originally in Robeson County, NC but moved to Marion County, SC.Some of his history and others in his line can be found in the book "History of Marion County, SC" by Sellers.
I can prove that Peter had three children
Catherine married Alexander McPriest or Priest. Most of her chldren are buried in the Baker Cemetery.
Margaret never married.
John married Elizabeth McCormick the daughter of Duncan and Elizabeth McCormick of Robeson County.
I can prove that John had the following children
Archibald was married to Anna or Nepsey. She was Anna in 1850 census but Nepsey in 1860 and later. They had 2 sons Peter and John both of whom were killed in Civil War.
Daughters Margaret, Mary, Anna, Almira, Sarah,Harriet, and Laura. All the daughters died single except Alvira or Elmira who married David Trawick (see Sellers History)
James McKellar married Flora Catherine McEachern, the daughter of Neal McEachern and Manila McCormick McEachern.Flora Catherine died young and is buried in the Baker Cemetery.James remarried Sallie McColl and had another family. The children by his first wife were Mary J, David Archibald, Elizabeth Manila, Margaret, Jack M., Hattie, Flora Catherine and Peter Alexander.James is buried in the Lebanon Cemetery near Maxton, NC.He has many more children by his second wife most of whom lived in Red Springs, NC area.
John J. was msrried to Ann but he died before 1860 census. They had children Amanda who married Alexander Trawick, Elizabeth, Milton, Joseph, Mary, and Adeline.
Peter B McKellar was married to Harriet McCormick the daughter of Archibald D. McCormick of Robeson County.Peter and Harriet had children Augustus V. and Peter L. E.Peter died in 1854 and his wife Harriet married Charles Stubbs.
Lets first look at Group Four:
John McKellar died 1852 - this is John J the husband of Ann and the son of John Sr.
Peter B. McKellar - died 1854 -was the son of John Sr. and married to Harriet McCormick
Peter L.E. McKellar died 1865 - son Peter B. and Harriet
Flora Catherine McKellar is the first wife of James McKellar
Remember John J was married to Ann and he is buried in Group 4
Joseph, Milton, and Elizabeth are children of John J and Ann.

They also had a son Peter born Oct 7, 1883 and died 1932 buried Sneed Cemetery wife Fannie McKellar - father Milton McKellar b SC and Mettie Burdette b SC
