Trying to put the pieces together. Please be patient, the McKNIGHT part is at the bottom:
- Margaret LODGE b ca 1892 in PA, daughter of John LODGE b 1874 in England and wife Ellen Unknown b 1871 in England. John came to America in 1883 and Ellen in 1889.
Believe John LODGE is the son of Thomas LODGE b 1847 in Coundon, Durham, England and wife Margaret LUKE b 1849 in England. Margaret's parents were James LUKE and Margaret TURNBULL of England.
Thomas LODGE and Margaret LUKE ended up in Huntingdon Co and Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. The 1900 Broad Top, Bedford Co., PA Census shows a nephew, William SNOW, living with them.
Next door to Thomas LODGE and Margaret is John LODGE, wife Ellen (maiden name unknown) and a daughter, Margaret b 1892.
I believe this daughter, Margaret LODGE married Michael "Mike" BROWN of Bedford Co., PA. My Margaret LODGE died prior to 1940. Their son, James BROWN married Nellie BENNA.
Michael Brown's mother may have been Elizabeth b 1851 in PA and her parents born in NJ. Elizabeth's maiden name may have been McKNIGHT or she may have married a McKnight before marrying Mike BROWN. In 1900, Broad Top, PA it shows Eliz Brown with children John McKNIGHT, Henry McNIGHT, Mary BROWN, Mike BROWN (b 1887) and Frank BROWN.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?
