I am a direct descendant of Thomas Vincent and Jane Renton. Thomas and Jane had 6 children, Mary was not one of them.Jane was recognized as Mrs.Jane Vincent when she won her case against the marriage of Thomas to Jane Sutherland. Jane also outlived her husband Thomas and her and her 6 children were the main benefactors.Jane died of old age and was a well respected member of the community of Moose Factory.
Side Note: Jane's mother was full blooded Northern Alberta Cree. It is noted on one of the Metis websites, however her name is unknown.
