Hi Kele-Jane
Would you have anything on Dillon Cappel McNamara or Rawdon McNamara? Dillon (my husband's great great grandfather) and his parents lived in Dublin according to the 1850 Dublin City Directory:
McNamara Dillon, solicitor; McNamara Mrs; McNamara, Rawdon, surgeon - all of 28 York St.
Dillon Capel, the son, was born about 1829. He married Sarah Jane Lovely on the 25 March 1856 in the United Church of England and Ireland, St Peter's Parish, City of Dublin. They had the following children: George Francis, c 1859; Mary Elizabeth, c 1861; Rawden, 1866; Jane Sarah, christened 11 Dec 1866; and Dillon Capel, 1870. It's thought that all except George (who practised as a doctor in Ireland, married and remained there), emigrated to Australia with their mother Sarah in the 1890's. Presumably, Dillon Capel had died. Some of them farmed land on the Stuart River near Nanango, Queensland, for several years then moved to the Bundaberg district.
Any help with this McNamara line would be greatly appreciated.
