McNamara's of Crusheen, Co. Clare (Griffey, Whelan, Forde)

I am posting my family information for general research.

Around 1900, the McNamara's, Whelans and Barry's lived near each other along a certain hill (perhaps on Tully Road?) Patrick McNamara b.1874 married Susan Griffey and had three children: Mary 1898, Bridget 1899, Patrick 1901. The parents died and the children were raised by the Barry's who owned a farm at the top of the hill. The McNamara house is now a foundation only.

At the bottom of the hill John Whelan, an engineer, married Mary Forde and had three children: Mary C. 1904, John and Anne.

Patrick McNamara married Mary Whelan and emigrated to New York, along with an unmarried female friend, "Bobby" Burns. All have died, leaving four children in the US: Mary (my mother), James, Joan and Michael.
