I read your message about a Mary McNamara visiting you. I have a Mary J. McNamara b. 1880 d. 1931. I don't know how she is related, but is buried with other McNamaras in Alexis, IL. My grandmother Lora M. McNamara/Spurrell is buried there too, supposedly she married a Joseph Spurrell. There is also a B. McNamara b. 1818? d. 2/15/1889 at age 71 buried there, also Nancy A. McNamara b. 1837? d. 6/14/1883 at age 48. I would sure like to make a connection.
