I believe that Job of Portland was a son of Job, Sr. who died in 1839.I have transcribed all the grantee-grantor indexes (not the deeds themselves as the day I went to do this, the courthouse deed people were too busy as they were having an in-service).I live out of state so wrote down every deed with land description (Range/Twp) and the book and page the deed was written in.I did not get any other records for deeds but if you would like a copy of the grantee-grantor index, e-mail me privately.
I have a partition record of my Thomas who died 1844 and his wife Ann (Nancey) Ludwick...between their children and widow Ann getting her dower partition. My Thomas wouldbe a brother of Job, and son of Hugh and Alice.
I found online a Job and wife story in Oregon Pioneers. It seems a cousin on the Baker's (a s/o Tillman and Mary "Polly" McNamee Baker, George who md. Rebecca Southerland/Sunderland in 1829, also went to Oregon.
Have you seen the stories online. If not, I will link it to you.
I see an Amy McNamee said she held and read Job's will.
She only posted once.I have obit from Lancaster Eagle of Job's death. He is main grantor in the books and I wish I had all the deeds listed...it might be an eye opener.
