Sure, Tom, but it's lengthy. I got the name of the contact person in England, Catherine, from John McFadden, who got it from Thomas McP in Tullynascreen. She says her ancestors originated from Killanummery parish: "My great grandfather Michael's parents were Michael and Mary McPadden (nee Conlon or Connelly).I know of one brother my great Grandfather had, his name was John.(Another John, it must of been a family name!).My John emigrated to Boston in the 1860s, he married a Mary McCabe in November 1871 at Spencer, Massachusetts, his occuption was given as 'boot maker.'My great grandfather and great grandmother joined them in the 1870s, but came back to England in 1879, we think.John and family went to live in St Pauls Minnesota around the same time."
Then this further bit.
"Iknow very little at all about my gg grandfather Michael.Originally I got the information that his mother was named Mary nee Conlon or Connelly from a gg.grandson of Michael's other daughter, Martha (born Ashland Mass, 1876).The other Michael McPadden married to Mary Conlonin Nov. 186l, are far too young to be the parents of my Michael. This distant cousin of mine has photographs of the family of John McPadden who settled in St Pauls, Minn. On the reverse are messages - 'Love from your cousins in St Pauls'I initially took these to be cousins once removed, of Michael's but I may be wrong.I then backtracked and got a copy of John's marriage certificate, he lived in Worcester, Boston, and as I have said before, his wife was Mary McCabe."
Michael, wife Lizzie, and daughter Mary came to Boston on the Necla, on August 14, 1872. And Tom, I have a photograph of Lizzie and Mary, if you're looking for resemblances.
