McPHERSON-Virginia, Iowa-Minnesota

Am looking for the parents of Riley McPherson who according to census records was born in Virginia in 1803.He died in Brownsville, Houston Co., Minnesota; was the husband of Kizziah (maiden name unknown) and was the father of 10 children.One of which was Augustus Riley McPherson who married Elizabeth Palmer.By record of census, birth, & etc. we know that this family lived in Iowa, but do not have the exact county, or city.There is a story in this family that a McPherson bought his wife with tobacco but we don't know whether it was Riley or if it was his father, nor do we know where in Virginia he was born.Have his descendants from time of his marraige to present day and would be very interested in finding out their descendants.
