Just Asking for the McPherson in Gaffney, SC

Anybody who knew a man by the name of Rudell Roger McPherson (as my Dad told us his name), of Gaffney, South Carolina? Who was stationed in the Philippines (WW II) and met my grandmother (Gorgonia Prieto).They bore a son (my dad).All I know is, their roots are from Gaffney, South Carolina.

Well, this is my last effort to know more about my grandfather.Because I heard from my Dad, that they had stumbled upon a roadblock, and never proceeded on.
