Re: David McPherson born about 1849 died in Michigan

Hi Barb, I am looking for my greatgrandfather's family. John McPherson b. abt 1847 in Nova Scotia. Father unknown mother Mary Gillis. He immigrated to the US in 1868. He married in 1887 to Caroline Shanahan b. Ireland abt.1852(she might have immigrated to St Claire, MI her father was Ed Shanahan, mother Catherine Colbert, as per her death cer.) and they lived in San Francisco John died in 1920 in San Francisco. His occupation was a boilermaker. Thay had one Son George B McPherson.. But my Granfather talked of a half brother that died in the 30' or 40's named Henry, Harry or Harvey. John might have been married before?
