BIRTHDAY EVENT HELD FOR MRS. JENNIE McQUEEN
Friends and relatives of MRS. JENNIE McQUEEN, more familiarly and affectionately known as " Mammie", gathered at her home in Tucapau last Sunday for a dinner in celebration of her 75th birthday.
She was born in Washington county, Tenn., March 3, 1865. Following her marriage to J.S. McQueen in 1882, they moved to Texas for a number of years then came back to Tennessee for some time and in 1913 moved to South Carolina.
Her husband died in 1919. Of the 14 children born to this union, nine are living.
The children present for the dinner last Sunday listed with their husbands and wives were :
