JOHN McQUEEN, EDINBURGH silver table snuff box 1845

Hello,
I have a silver table snuff box dated c.1838, engraved JOHN McQUEEN, EDINBURGH 1845. I am trying to research this object and would imagine it once belonged to an important
McQueen as it would have been an expensive item in its day. Any help would be much appreciated.
