Thanks for replying Kelly. At this point I am trying to determine if Charles' father is John.

Do you know when John died and where he is buried?Other then the 1850 Census, I haven't found anything on him.

I am assuming that John and Joseph (d. 22 FEB 1862) are brothers.I've found that Joseph married Deborah (b. ca 1803), and they had the following:
Julia A. d. 1834 age 1
James d. 1841 age 9appear to have died young; buried
Martha/ in Morgan Meeting House Cemetery
Joseph Jr.
George m. Martha West
Robert m. Nancy ____

Charles and Lavina settled in MI.I found them buried in the Byron Cemetery
Charles d. 1902
Lavina d. 1918 (haven't found her in the 1910 Census yet)

Lavina is my ancester's sister. They were 2 of 8 daughters of John F. & Laura Pool.

I believe that Laura's maiden name is West; haven't determined if there is a family connection between her and Martha West.
