Rutha Prudence McQueen

My great great great grandmother was named Rutha Prudence McQueen.She was born in 1821 and was married twice.First husband was William Coffin.Second husband (from whom I descend) was Charles Granison Roberts.

It seems likely that she was born in Alabama...possibly Butler County, or Wilcox County, which I believe are neighboring counties (don't have a map here in front of me at the moment).However, I have conflicting data as to who Rutha's parents were.People seem pretty much split on her lineage.

I have seen her parents as Daniel McQueen III and Rebecca Alla Sawyer.But, I have also seen her parents listed as William McQueen (a kinsman of Daniel III) and his wife, Judith.

Who is my pawpaw!?Was he Daniel, or was he William?I will be happy to descend from either one of them, but it would be nice to know which one I do come from.I have tried to find hard evidence that clearly states who Rutha's parents were, but all I can find are family trees with her name attached to both Daniel and William.

Does anyone out there know, and have proof of, her parents???
