Re: John McQueen, 6 children - Oceana, MI - from Ohio - late 1800s

John was actually born in Camillus, Onondaga County, NY. He married Pamelia Jones after she was widowed by John's brother, Hiram in DeKalb County, Indiana. John died 7 Aug 1891 in Hart, Oceana County, MI and was probably buried with Pamelia and their daughter Nettie in Oceana Center Cemetery.

John and his brother Henry, both registered for the Civil War in 1863 from Hart, Oceana Co.,MI. Henry was my g-g-g-grandfather and he died several months before the 1864 draft.

I have more on these McQueen going back to their grandfather John "Peter" McQueen who arrived in 1764 from Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland.
