Just found your query. I cannot answer your questions, but hope you keep me in mind should you discover a connection between the Kentucky Meadors and the Motley Co. Meadors.
On my father's side, I have a Susan W. MEADOR married to James W. SMITH in Simpson Co., Kentucky in 1859.Her ancestry is Asa MEADOR + Elizabeth CLAIBORNE, then Jonas MEADOR + Clarissa "Clara" WATTS, and finally Joel MEADOR + Susannah CLARK.All this is from the LDS.That's where my Meador connection ends.
However, my mother's side lived in Motley Co. from the 1890's to the early 1900's, so I've heard about the Meadors there. Direct surnames of mine are Golightly and Harris, and other related surnames are Pender, Newman, Higgins, Heeren, Fort, Pollan, Ellis, Patton, Turner, and Brown, some of which you've probably heard of; several are buried at East Mound.
It would be very interesting to establish a connection between the Kentucky and Texas Meadors.Thanks.
