John Meador 8/12/04
I was as surprised as everyone else to find out he was born in the Netherlands... It should be noted that the Protestant revolt (Thirty Years War) was in full swing in the Netherlands at this time. It is possible that Thomas Meador went to England for military service as evidenced by the Meador Coat of Arms.. It is very possible that he came to the Americas for religious freedom as a protestant.
