Thomas M. Meador

I am looking for ancestors of Thomas M. Meadors, my great, great, great grandfather. I will list what I know about Thomas M. Meador and hopefully someone out there can help me find his ancestors. Thomas M.(I do not know what the M stands for) was born 12-15-1852 and died 5-6-1913. He is buried in Windham Cemetery at Byrd's in Brown County, Texas. He was married to Olive Adeline Rhodes AKA Illya and Ollie. She is buried at the same cemetery, but I could not find the headstone or any dates for her.

Thomas and Olive had several children, one was Eddie Thomas Meador b. 4-7-1890 d. 1-20-1968. He was married to Mary L Hoover (daughter of Mary Ann Coffey & Robert (?) Hoover) b.10-20-1893 d. 7-11-1965. They are both buried in Windham Cemetery as well.

Eddie and Mary had a daughter named Olive Irene was was a twin and was born on 9-3-1918 and died on 11-7-1958. She was married to Doyle Stanley Byrd, Sr. (son of Mary Fay "Pollie" Purcell and Walter Martin "Mart" Byrd) b. 1-29-1913 d. 12-29-1980. Irene and Doyle Byrd are buried in Greenleaf Cemetery, Brown County, Texas.

Irene and Doyle had a daughter, Loretta Louise b. 12-3-1934 d. 2-20-1992. She married William Layfette Lee, Sr. (son of Nancy Jane "Annie" Martin and Franklin Earl Lee) b. 4-24-1917 d. 5-11-2001. They are both buried in the Flower Mound Cemetery in Flower Mound, Texas.

Irene and Doyle had a daughter named Nancy Irene Lee b. 12-9-1955 d. 5-21-1976. She was my mother.

Thomas M. and Olive had other children, although I do not have a good source on all of them. I do know for sure that he had a son named Joshaway G. Meador who was born 3-30-1893 and died on 11-10-1973. Joshaway married Rachel Flowers who was born 5-20-1887 and died on 6-22-1973. They were also buried in the Windham Cemetery. Rachel was the daughter of John R Flowers and Mary A Cowden and the sister of Amitty (sp?) Pearl Flowers who married Robert Alonzo Tabor who are the parents of Lois Faye Tabor who married William Jaye Meador who was the son of Eddie Thomas Meador.

Other possible children of Thomas M. and Olive are William "Bill" b. abt. 1895, Oscar b. abt. 1897, Fannie b. abt. 1899, Ann b. abt. 1901, and Joel Henry b. abt. 1877
