Re: TWO JOEL JOSEPH MEADORS ?

Joel Joseph Meador b. 1795 in Bedford Co. VA. and died 1862
in Wayne County Mo. was my wife's Great Great Grandfather.

He was son of Jobe Meador b.1764 in Va. and d.1832 and buried in Macon Co. TN.Jobe married Marthy 'Patty' Wood
17 Nov. 1785 in Bedford County VA.

After Joel Meador Sr. (1725/26) died in 1798 several of his sons including Jobe migrated to TN.First Sumner then Macon County TN.In addition to Joel Joseph (1795) Jobe also was father of Mary 1799-1854 who married Cinder; Clarissa 1802 who married Joel Simmons; Mary 'Patsy' 1806
who married Hiram Simmons: Anderson 1811-abt1880 who married
Milly Clairborne and Joseph 1815 Sumner Co, TN. - 1877
Wayne County, Mo. Joseph married Louisa Rhodes 1813 and died
in 1877 in Wayne Co. MO. Louisa married Joseph July 19, 1839
in Sumner County TN.

Joseph & Louisa came to Wayne County after 1854 as all of their children including the youngest, Martha b. 1854 were
born in TN. according to Wayne County Census of 1860.

Joel Joseph 1795 first married Francis Dudley in TN and they
were parents of Austin R. L. 1827-1915. Joel Joseph married Amy Cowden 1803-1888 in TN. after death of Francis Dudley. Their oldest son, Jobe W. 1831-1918 born
in TN. and died in Wayne County was my wife's Great Grandfather.

I saw in a TN. Cencus about 1830 for Sumner County the other Joel Joseph however I have no info on him.
