According to the census and family members, Vaughn Meador was married to an Elizabeth/Eliza/Lizzie.Maiden name unknown.(Don't know of any Margaret)Vaughn was born to Joel Buchanon Meador and Amanda J. East.Joel was a brother to Calvin Alexander Meador.Amanda J./Mandy was a sister to Mary E./Mollie East who was married at one time to Calvin A. Meador.They divorced.Vaughn was born May 16, 1887 and died Dec. 12, 1958.Buried in Marcus Memorial Park, Fredericktown, Madison Co., Mo. Elizabeth was born about 1889.Do not know death date or where she is buried.My husband and mother-in-law do remember her and she did live in Fredericktown.
Vaughn and Lizzie had descendants:
Thelma born about 1911
Harry born about 1921 (Ran car dealership in Fredericktown by Coopers Gas Station)
Joel R. born 1924
Billy G. born 1926.
My husband's uncle remembers all the kids except Joel R. Meador.If we can't find him, maybe he died young.
Elizabeth/Eliza/Lizzie was first married to a Brashears.Had one or two children with him, one of which was a girl.
There were some errors on Amanda J.East, if you go by info
on New Prospect (Bounds Creek) Cemetery records, that can be found online.Amanda's parents were Emmaline/Jemmiah (Bennett) East Bennett and Matt East, not Abner Bennett.He was her stepfather.She was born about 1869 and died Feb. 17, 1888.
