Thomas M Meador b.1852

Looking for parents of Thomas M. Meador (my great, great, great grandfather) born 12-15-1852 died 5-6-1913. Thomas is buried in Windham Cemetery which is in Byrds, Brown County, Texas. He was married to Olive Adeline Rhodes aka Illya or Ollie. They had a son, Eddie Thomas Meador b. 1890 d. 1965 who married Mary L Hoover b. 10-20-1893 d. 7-11-1965, both burried in the Windham Cemetery as well. I have a family letter indicating that there were 4 other sons born to Thomas and Olive, William, Henry, Oscar, and Aster, as well as 3 daughters whose names are unknown.

I've heard that Thomas' father's name was Joel, so in searching, I've found a possible Joel Meador. This Joel Meador was born in 1810 in Franklin County, Virginia and died in 1880 in the same town. Irena (aka Irene) Arrington was born in 1813 in VA and died 4-11-1859. Joel and Irena were married 7-6-1833 in Franklin City, Accomack, Virginia. I have no record of Joel and Irena's children, but I just have a hunch this might be the right family. There is family info passed down that our ancestors came from VA. There is room for another generation between Thomas M Meador b. 1852 and this Joel and Irena, so they may actually be his grandparents.

I've seen listed in some places that there was a Joel and Harriet Meador who had a son named Thomas M. Meador who was born in 1852, however, it is listed that he died in 1885, which unless that is a typo, it could not possibly be him. I have a picture of Thomas' headstone in a family cemetery and it clearly states he died in 1913. Another reason this could not be him is because my Thomas had children born after 1885, most importantly, my great great grandfather Eddie Thomas Meador b. 1890.

If any of this sounds familiar, I would love to hear from you. If you know the children of Joel and Irena, I would certainly appreciate the list of them. Any info I can get on any of these families would be great.
