Hello Cousins,

This Courthouse was burned to the ground in the Civil War.
The early records are gone except for 1 book 1735, 2 books 1782.However, if your genealogy is 1800 or later, you can write to Vital Records of VA online located in Richmond VA and obtain records needed.

Vital Statistics Records were started in 1800.
