Isham/Eli relationship documentaiton

By Warren Pearce November 11, 2011 at 09:49:47

Hi,

Page 154 in“Macon Roots, A Record of the Families of Macon County, Tennessee in 1850" references HH#307 item in the 1850 census for Peter Meadow. The census listing only has Peter Meador Age 27, Mary Meadow age 23, and Martha Meadow age 60. Immediately below that item is a listing for Isham Meadow with a comment “The following is listed as residing in this household:” The list for Isham Meadow and the children from him and Obedience Bradshaw includes Eli Meadow. The Sources at the bottom of the page includes Tennessee census books and research of Velda Meadow.

As a starting point, the Isham/Obedience family name is normally spelled Meador. Lots of Meador folk have been looking for any documentation on the Isham/Eli relationship for a long time!!

Does anyone have any information on this item or how to contact Velda Meadow?

I can be reached at [email protected] for E-mail.

Thanks,
