Family past

Hello: My name is Rolland Meigs born 1952 in Newport Vermount. My father Aubrey Meigs is dead now was born in Quebec Canada around 1934. My Mom Annis Woods was born in Quebec 1935. My dad's father Albert Meigs was from the states somewhere I guess. Thats all I know. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to searching further.
