Hi Robert:
This is what I came up with..it's what in the LatterDay Saints Files at www.familysearch.org.
William Wilton Merkey
b. 20 July 1870 Williamsburg Twp. Dundas Co. Ont.
Christened: 14 Nov. 1871
Died: 20 Sept. 1945..no place given.
Wife:Nettie Delina Dillabough..I did not record her information but you can find it by searching familysearch.org.
They were married 20 July 1893 (no place given and no children listed.)
Father of William:
Adam Merkley
Mother: Margaret Merkley (This could be her married name or her maiden name...there were lots of Merkleys marrying Merkleys in the area as there were so many of them..!!!they ended up marrying distant cousins...which they might have realized were cousins..or not!)
Adam Merkley:
b. 24 April, 1825
d. 12 Jan. 1919 prob. Williamsburg Twp. Dundas County but the information is not given.
Married Margaret 15 July 1856 Williamsburg.Again..I did not go back on the female line.
Father of Adam:
John Frederick Merkley
b.10 Aug. 1800--no place given but prob. Dundas Co.
Died 24 Jan. 1876, Williamsburg Twp.
married:Elizabeth Merkley, 1823, Dundas Co. Ontario
Father of John Frederick:
Friederick Merckle...or any combination thereof. Born circa 1774..place unknown..possibly Mohawk Valley of New York State (my opinion) married Catharina Shell, b. 1778..prob. Mohawk Valley...no death dates etc. given but resided in Dundas County after the Rev.
Hope this gives you a starting point.
Sue
