Christopher Merkley does not go to Felix Merckle 1639 Germany.That is a different Merckle/Merkley family.Christopher Friedrich is not a son of a Christopher who was suppose to be a son of Johann Friedrich Merckle/son of Felix. The fact is that Johann Friedrich did not have a son named Christopher.
Christopher Friedrich Merckle, came from Germany in 1753 and settled in Durlach, now called Sharon, Schoharie County, New York.He was born in Hoheneck, Wurttemberg, Germany the s/o Hans Michael Merckle and Margaretha.Christopher Friedrich Merckle married Maria Catharine and they had 3 sons before coming to America.Jacob, born 17 Oct 1747 at Bietigheim, Wurttember, Germany was the oldest son.He married Maria Schafer in Schoharie and they were Loyalist and moved to Canada.
Maria Schafer's grandmother was a Merckle and "probably" a descendant of Johann Friedrich Merckle listed above, two different Merkley lines.
I have all of the documents, birth records, marriage and marriage settlements, probates, land records, etc. to prove the above lineage.
