Re: Thomas Jefferson Merritt, b. 1851

I believe that his parents are John Rand Merritt (march 28, 1820 in Tennessee) and Nancy Jane Musick (november 18, 1826 in Washington, Virginia).I have been researching the same family line, as his brother, Samuel Alexander Merritt is my great great grandfather.I come to a dead end at John and Nancy.If you are able to trace it back beyond that point, I would love to know.Hope that helps you.
