METCALF, THOMAS

I am looking for any information about a Thomas Metcalf that was in Litchfield, Illinois in the late 1800s. I have several formal photo's that show my grandfather, John Patrick Gallagher and his three brothers along with a man named Thomas Metcalf. It is said that Thomas was engaged to or married my grandfather's sister Catherine Gallagher.
Catherine was born in 1871 and died young (age 17) in 1888 (all in Litchfield, IL). I also have a a studio photo of Thomas taken in Missouri. Anyone have any ideas aboutthis Thomas Metcalf? Thanks!
