Jacob Metler (b.NJ abt. 1826) - 1880 US Census NY

Looking for information on a Jacob Metler (born New Jersey abt.1826) who is on the 1880 US Census in New York with his wife Susan (born PA abt.1832) and sons William H. Metler (born New Jersey abt. 1851) and Augustus Metler (born New York abt. 1869). Jacob says his parents were born in New Jersey. His wife Susan (maiden name unknown) says her parents were born in PA. Jacob Metler in 1880 is living next to Edward Metler and his wife Annie who have a 2 year old daughter Ellen.I believe Edward Metler (my great-grandfather) is another son of Jacob and Susan Metler. My Edward Metler was born in New York abt. 1856 and says his father was born in New Jersey and his mother was born in PA so everything seems to fit especially since he is living next door to Jacob. Can anyone out there shed any more light on this "Metler" family?? Does anyone know who Jacob's parents are, etc. ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
