Jeremiah Mickle won land in the 29th day's drawing of the GA Land Lottery, 09 APR 1827, Section 5, Dst. 12, Lot #163. His residence at that time was listed as Monroe County, GA, Wright's, winning land in Carroll County.
William D. Mickle is listed on the 1830 US Census Index for Monroe County, GA.
There is a James M. Mickle listed in Minutes of the Court of Ordinary for Pike County, GA, pg. 7, 1829, along with William M. Mickle and Mariah Martin, who were evidently administrators of the estate of William W. Martin, dec'd.
On 26 Dec 1825 William D. Mickle married Mary Smith in Monroe County, GA, "Monroe County Georgia Marriages From 1824-1850" Book A.
Thomas F. Mickle was married to Mary A. [--?--]. He was b: Abt. 1804 in NC (although he listed SC on one Census). His children later state on census data that he was born in NC.Mary A. was b: 1820 in GA. Thomas died after the 1860 Census in Roanoke, Randolph Co., AL, and bef. 1870.
In 1870, Mary A. Mickle, age 50, b: GA., is listed as a Widow, living in Pike Co., AL/Roanoke Randolph Co., AL., pg. 543, with 4 children: David, age 19 (b: 1851), Lucy, age 15 (b: 1855), Betsy, age 10 (b: 1860), and Mel, age 8 (b: 1862). All 4 children born in AL. Mary is in hh #608. In hh #606 is John M. Mickle, age 30, b: AL, and his wife, Emily, age 27. Their children: Nancy age 8, Fanny age 6, Lizzie age 4, and William age 2.
Who are the parents of Thomas F. Mickle, William D. Mickle and James Mickle? They are found in Randolph County, AL at about the same time, and all were born in NC. I believe they migrated from NC to GA and then on to AL.
My gg.grandmother is Lucy Mickle, a daughter of Thomas F. Mickle and Mary. She married Joseph Howe and lived in Chambers County, AL until after the death of Joseph.
