Hello Barbara,
For your Abraham Lincoln Millard I show the 1880 Census for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as having the following information:
Head of Household:James T. Millard, listed as a "bricklayer," born in 1832, and his wife, Catherine S. Millard listed as "keeping house," born in 1836.Their childern are:
Abraham Lincoln Millard, born 1865 and listed as working in a "Stocking Mill" at age 15,
Mary E. Millard, born 1870, attending school
James T. Millard, born 1873, attending school
Thomas G. Millard, born 1875 and
Joseph C. Millard, born 1874
I can't locate the 1921 Millard/Lieck marriage, but you may have some luck if you send an inquiry to the county clerk or vital records administrator for the county in Texas in which they were married. You may also be able to contact those representatives for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to see if any records (especially church records) or other data exist documenting the birth of Abraham to ascertain the name of his parents. The 1880 census does show both his mother and father born in Pennsylvania.
Good luck and I hope this information helps,
Anna
