I am the grandson of Isabel "Bessie Dewberry" Mirabal of Albuquerque. She married Homer Claude Dewberry (or as it turns out, Claude Homer Dewberry, Jr.) in Albuquerque. problem is he left her when my father, Jim Claude Dewberry was 5 years old. He had other wives it turns out. Additionally, my father and I no longer speak, and I do not know where he lives. This all makes researching my family history a bit difficult. I have sent away for the marriage certificatre and birth and death records, but any help will be appreciated.
In better days, my father had told me stories that my ancestors were wealthy sheep ranchers at one point prior to being burned out by anglo cattle ranchers, and others were Spanish circus performers that changed citizenship during the Spanish-American War. I would like to know the facts so as to pass the information on to my progeny.
