Alison Mitchell married John Cochrane in Edinburgh Scotland
Hello Everyone,
I am looking to see if anyone sees any connection in their family ancestry notes in regard to an Alison Mitchell (born about 1858 - died July 5, 1946, Leith, Scotland), daughter of John Mitchell and Margaret Lee.
Alison Mitchell married John Cochrane (born April 14, 1857 in Canongate, Edinburgh) son of Thomas Cochrane and Janet Rattray on August 29, 1879 at St. Giles, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. John Cochrane was a tobacco pipe maker.
The marriage record indicated that Alison's father John was deceased at the time of her marriage and that her mother Margaret must of married someone with the last name Newell. Alison's father John Mitchell was listed as being a Flour Miller.
The death record for Alison "Mitchell" Cochrane states that she passed away at the Northern General Hospital in Edinburgh. Her usual residence was listed as being 13 Portobello Road in Edinburgh. It looks like a witness listed on her death record was a certain nephew-in-law whose name appears to be William Harley.
If anyone sees any connection to the above individuals, I look forward to hearing from you.
