Will of WILLIAM CLARK of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina being weak in body....I give all my tract of land whereon I now live in the county aforesaid, 515 acres to my three youngest sons WILLIAM (CLARK), JOSEPH (CLARK)& BENJAMIN (CLARK) to be equally divided with the assistance of my brother JOSEPH CLARK...executors do give unto my daughter SUSANNAH (CLARK) when married in proportion to what my daughters MARGRET (CLARK) & ELEANOR (CLARK) had when married; to my son JOHN (CLARK) a young bay grey mare; to my son JAMES (CLARK), one Milch cow; to my daughter RACHEL (CLARK) one milch cow to be delivered to her two years hence & likewise one milch cow to my daughter MARY (CLARK); likewise my daughter ELIZABETH (CLARK) one Milch cow to be delivered four years hence; likewise my daughter SARAH (CLARK) one milch cow to be delivered five years hence; to my daughter MARGARET (CLARK) one milch cow to be delivered six years hence; to my daughter ELENOR (CLARK) one Milch cow to be delivered seven years hence; remainder of estate to my loving wife Mary; wife Mary and brother JAMES (CLARK), exrs.

Elenor Clark married DAVID DAVIS.
JOHN CLARK md Eleanor. They apparently had no children. Each left a will in Mecklenburg Co, NC leaving to David Davis, a nephew. Mary Clark was a witness for John Clark.
JAMES CLARK left a will in Mecklenburg Co, NC.
Some of these people will be found in what is now Spartanburg Co, SC records and also in Greenville Co, SC records. Benjamin Clark and James Clark had plats recorded in Greenville Co, SC (check their land and plat records (LDS). David Davis also had land on a branch of North Tyger River, Spartanburg Co, SC.
