I too am looking for a James Mitchellwho went to Wisc., but have never found any who went that way.
My James and John Mitchell were Irish twins who migrated during the War and fought on the American side.In 1804 James claimed 100 acres of land in Clermont Co., OH as his bounty. He had 8 children, the next to last being a son also named James.
The younger James married my kin, Natty Poe, about 1819 inBrown Co., OH.In 1829 James and Natty disappear, reportedly to Wisc where they spent the rest of their lives.
I would love to have more information on the Wisc lives. Will share plenty about the OH times if it is the same James Mitchell.
