Charlotte Leduc dit Souligny the natural daughter of Pierre & Charlotte Sauvagesse was baptized at the Mission of St Ignance De Michilimakinak, Wisconson Territority 1 Oct 1758, born about 1752. She might have been Potawatomi, but there is no information developed at this time. There were several tribes located in the area. She had an unnamed younger brother. Her step-mother, Agathe (Anne) Amiot dit Villeneuve, was half Ottawa Indian and is listed as her god-mother. I located a baptismal record for Charlottte and her un-named brother dated 1 Oct 1758 in the Wisconson Historical Collection available on line at http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/whc/list.asphttp://www.wisconsinhistory.org/whc/list.asp
Charlotte's father Pierre Leduc is the son of Jean & Marguerite Desroches.
There are several Indian woman named Charlotte listed in the Wisconsin record, but there is no recorded connection to Charlotte Leduc.
