At some point you should consider giving me your email address. There is a poor photo of Karlstrasse 2 in the book that I could scan and pass along. I would suggest that you replace the '@' and '.' in your address with '(at)' and '(dot)' so that you don't end up with a lot of junk emails.
Thanks for the additional info. Yes, Dionys Haungs (1785-1865) was married three times. A son from his first marriage to Rufina Ruschmann, Januaris Haungs (1813 - ?) came to America with wife and child. I have yet to find Januaris in America but the duaghter did live in Cincinnati. Dionys's family lived at Mooser Strasse 32.
I am resonably sure that Mathias's sister Theresia is the one in that 1858 Peoria marriage. She married Albert Windeck (1831-1899) who was a blacksmith in Peoria. Theresia and Albert had three children that I know about. So 'Weninda' must be Windeck (at least that is the spelling he went by in America). Theresia and Albert are buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Peoria according to the Findagrave website.

First name; Theresia
Last name; Haungs
Last place of residence; Bühl
District; Moos
Reference; Ignaz, Brigitta (Tochter von)
Emigration year; 1855
Age at emigration; 18

Arrived in New Orleans on ship 'Radius' on 1 May 1855. Traveling with Moos neighbours Monika Ochs (19), Karl (21) and Louise (17) Streibich and Joseph Leppert (28)

The John Dilzer (1832-1901) that you speak of was son of Josef Dilzer of Moos and Ottilie Ehinger of Balzhofen.
Josef (1807-1865) was the illegitimate son of Franziska Dilzer (1786-1861). Franziska later married Josef Streibich and she is the mother of four Streibich daughters who went to America (including Albina Streibich that married Florian Haungs). Josef Dilzer was listed as the owner of Mooser Strasse 11 in 1842 and was shown as being a carpenter. I am not aware of 'a castle at Illenau' so I would be interested in your cousin's information. There a few small castle structures near Moos but they are very old.
