David - I learned from Carol Chapman about your interest in Jacob Mohr - you note that he was your gr-grfather and your father was Albert Mohr.My Jacob was born in Prussia in 1833 and as the story thru the ages goes, came to America with his father & siblings (no mention of wife but there may have been one accompanying them). His father told the sons to push the wagons over the mountains, Jacob and supposedly another sibling, refused and left the family.Jacob found his way to Ohio where he met Susan Kuszmaul. They came to Peoria and were married in Peoria.Jacob is my gr-gr-grandfather - his son George, my gr-grfather and Edward Jacob, son of George, is my grandfather.I also note your interest in the Dilzers.John, son of Joseph, was the father of Lydia Dilzer who married Jacob Fischer, and produced a daughter, Lydia Fischer who married Edward Jacob Mohr.I have pictures of Castle Illenau and Dr Josef Dilzer's affiliation with the Castle is well-documented.Would you have any info on Jacob Mohr - if in fact this is one and the same person with whom both of us are involved.Supposedly Jacob never spoke of his family so we know no names or any other information beyond him. I do know that he was naturalized in 1858 in Peoria Co IL where he raised his family and died so he would have had to have immigrated around 1850-53.Please let me know if you have any information that would tie my Jacob to yours.

Thanks - Becky (long lost cousin of Carol Chapman)
