Alexander MOODY of Newtownlimavady, Nor. Ire. -Watchmaker in 1824
from an old book published in 1929 on Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World by G. H. Baillie, pg. 223 lists an Alexander MOODY (alternate spelling MOODIE) as a watchmaker in Newtownlimavady, (Co. L'derry, Nor Ireland) in 1824.
Anyone have any idea who he might have been??

#'s 10349 and 10873 regarding "watchmakers" that ~Might~ have a link to our branch of the Moody family. NOTE that in the latter message, the son aptly named "Alexander" was a watchmaker by trade. This was the WILSON house where granddaughter Sarah MOODIE was living with her grandparents at the time in 1901 and in 1911. Perhaps her line of Moodie's/Moody's came from the line of these watchmakers.
Just a guess.
