Hi there Larry, This might be some of your branch then. I could find very Little on this branch and all that I've been able to find is what I posted here. This batch of Moody's ~appears~ to have a Possible German link in that their name spelling changes so much. One time you find it its spelles MOWDY, then the next its MOUDY and then another time its MOODY.This goes back to that Mathias MOWDY I found. Abraham's name was actually spelled as MOUDY I think, and if I didn't spell it that way in my posting I should have.I get so used to spelling the name in which our family branches spell it that it becomes habit. I believe Abraham's son Joseph always spelled his name as Moody though, so perhaps the latter generations stuck with that spelling. Have you been Ydna tested?I ask everyone that now, some folks just don't want to do it and I can understand that completely,...I balked at it for years before finally realizing that IF in my lifetime I wanted to know with some form of certainty which branches we belonged in, that that was rapidly becoming my Only option at this stage, so I asked my Dad if he would and he agreed. Yay for that because now I don't have to waste my time searching in places that I know we Don't have a branch anymore. Anyway, if you have been Ydna tested, did you match to any other Moody's? I wish I had more info for you on this branch of Abraham MOODY/Mowdy/Moudy of Carlisle, PA, but at this point there is just nothing out there that I could find over the last 2 days of my light searching. Take care and hope some of this turns out to be helpful to you.
