Mary was born about 1857, her father George Henry Penniman, b. 3-25-1830 and mother Mary Elizabeth Brewer resided in New York, Newport, RI and Long Island. George was a merchant and his wife was on the social register. Mary B. Penniman married Edward Denison Morgan III (b. Alfred Waterman Morgan). She died in August 1886 in Newport. They had no children. EDM went on to marry a second time and won the America's Cup. Mary had three siblings, one being Gardner Brewer Penniman.
