Has anyone done DNA for line of David Morgan b1779 NC, d1857 Hall Co.,GA. Spouse Elizabeth Rylee 1783-1850. Mother Sara Morgan Howington possibly from VA. Stepfather William Howington, RWS.It is thought that his father was killed in Rev. War.
David Morgan and Elizabeth Rylee had 11 children. They lived in Franklin Co., GA between 1800-1819, then Madison Co., GA before ending up in Hall Co., GA.
They were members of Faith Baptist Church in Hall Co., GA.
Third child and oldest son James Monroe Morgan (b. 10 Jan 1804)married Elizabeth "Betsy" Howington 4 Nov 1824 in Madison Co., GA. He was married three times and died 11 Dec 1876 in Newnan, Coweta Co., GA.
James Monroe Morgan and Mary "Etta" had son James Monroe Morgan (b. 11 March 1836 d. 23 Dec 1909). This James Monroe Morgan married Elizabeth Smith had 6 children. They married in Coweta Co., GA 18 July 1858. They moved to Carroll Co., GA where they are buried at Shady Grove Baptist church near Carrollton.
