Cynthia Oetting:
I found John Morton Jr., all the ages seem to be correct. The family is listed on http://us-http://us- census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/nc/burke/1800/pg
00766.txt - usgenweb has a lot more on their site now. The
Jr. is not on the list but the ages fit if I am right.

Morton John is on line 772 14
with 3 males 0-10,
1 male 26-45,
2 females 0-6,
1 female 26-45.

On line 773 32, Morrow William
3 males 0-10,
1 male 26-45,
1 male 45 +,
1 female 26-45.

I thought I had Marshall Morton's son, John M. Morton, born in 1784, the father of Jesse A. Morton, born 1811 SC.
I am still hunting for some proof Jesse is John M.'s son if anyone has a bible or knowledge about the connection It
would really help me. That is all I like to submit my form
to the DRT to be a member.

It seems where there is a Morton, usually a Morrow is there
also.I haven't worked on the Morrows much, but enough to
find the Morrows descend from Royalty in Europe. It seems
the Robt. Morrow and Jane Peden's children weren't much of
a problem. But when you see all these Morrows listed among
the Mortons in the Rangers and I don't think they are half
brothers anymore, they may fall under second cousins or somewhere.
