Hi John,my Moschella researchin San Potito ULtra was limited to just one line but there were a lot of Moschellas listed so it might be good for you to rent the SPU film for the years your people were born, married and died. Films can be rented from local Mormon churches with a library for about $3.50 per film.
The line I followed started with Carmine born 1779, to Vitaliano born 1810-14, Pietro born 1855, and finally to Vitaliano born 1884 and immigrated to the US with his parents and siblings in 1897.
I have relooked at my research for both Moschella and Porfido and find no connection.SPU was also the home of MANY Porfidos and these films are also available. The only problem is the films are hard to read at first as they are handwriten and in Italian but over time are readable and information can be obtained if you work at it.I researched 4 families from SPU and traced all of them back to the 1700's as far as the films covered.
Hope this helps, Good luck!
