Re: Mosier/Mosher..Who's My Grandpa ???

My father-in-law is Anvil Bennet Mosher. His father was Phillip Henry Mosher, his mother was Effie Stewart and she was Cherokee. My FIL was born in OK at a reservation, we believe under the name Sonny Boy Stewart (or is it Stuart...I need to call my MIL about that and make sure I post the right spellings of names here!) They didn't marry until after my FIL was born. They had a bunch of kids...a couple of sets of twins even. Most still living are in OK area but the majority of our bunch is in West Texas with some spread out into East Texas. This is a VERY large family and I don't know how anyone has the time to keep up with it all...let alone all the different ways to spell Mosher! I am told that regardless of the spelling, we are all connected. :)

I have been a member of this part of the family now for 17 years and one of the first things they told me was they are related to Jesse James AND to Quannah Parker.
