Charles Frederick Mudgett III AKA Jerry James

We are looking for information on the Mudgett family out of Miami, Florida.Our information is that Charles Frederick Mudgett (Jr.?) married Ella from Massachusetts.They had three children;Charlene, Charles Frederick Mudgett III, and Linda.They divorced and Ella married Jarrett James.

Ella and Jarrett decided to go to California but ran out of resources in Texas.The children went to school and the middle childis known to have graduated high school in Dallas?,Texas.Later on Charlene married Michael Russell and had a daughter named Shelby and then a son named Michael(?)For a time they lived on Ewing Street in 1966.The youngest sister was living in Texas in a foster home.She was visited just once by her brother and his young wife on their trip from Illinois.

Ella and Jarrett James lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years in the late 1960's.It is not known what happened to them.

Charles Frederick Mudgett III was renamed Jerry James by his mother, Ella because she did not want him to feel the stigma of her divorce from his father.Jerry (born 15 August 1946 in Miami, Dade, Florida) joined a road local and married Patricia Diane Longhurst, whom he met in El Paso, Texas.

Jerry and Diane, as she was called, lived a nomadic life because of Jerry's work and travel through out the midwest.Their only child was son Daniel Gary James born 2 Jul 1967 in Lompoc, California where his maternal grandmother lived.

Jerry and Diane were divorced and went their separate ways in 1970 after making their home in Aurora, Illinois.It seems that Jerry remarried a couple of times and Diane just once.
